The Four Phases of Borland Accelerate
- Define goals: Host workshops to align executive management and improvement team leaders on the expected business results, and conduct baseline assessments to obtain agreement on which areas need improvement
- Architect approach: Provide the foundation for the overall initiative, ensure that the right skills and plans are in place to execute both pilot and broad deployments, and establish measurements to track against
- Develop and deploy: Gather input and useful process assets from the organization and integrate them with agile development methods and industry best practices, such as CMMI, to build the new solution
- Validate results: Focus on activities for validating progress, including appraisals, measurement and data reviews, and executive briefings to reset baselines for future improvement stages
